Justin Jefferson on Jalen Ramsey: “That game is circled.”

Justin Jefferson has already established himself as one of the top receivers in the NFL. However, he wants to prove that his rookie year wasn’t a fluke. He wants to be the best and face the highest level of competition. As a result, Jefferson says the corner he wants to face the most this season is Jalen Ramsey.

The Rams and Vikings won’t face until week 16. However, that is a game Jefferson is waiting for. In addition, it’s probably a game Ramsey is now looking forward to as well.

“Jalen Ramsey. I’m waiting. That game is circled. That game is circled for me.”

Ramsey is a corner who loves facing that best of the best. For example, Ramsey is the first to want to guard receivers like Deandre Hopkins and DK Metcalf. However, now Jefferson wants this matchup and it won’t be an easy task.

Jefferson had 88 catches and 1,400 yards as a rookie. His 1,400 yards have him at second all-time in NFL history for rookie receivers. In addition, he was fourth in the entire league in receiving yards as a rookie in 2020.

Ramsey is usually the one to call out these star receivers. In the past, Ramsey has called out players like Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams before their matchups. In addition, Ramsey didn’t allow a receiver to go over 100 yards for a full game. Ramsey established himself as an elite defensive player early in his career. He’s never been afraid of a challenge and he’s never been afraid to say how he feels about an opposing player.

Like Ramsey, Jefferson wants to battle it out with the best for a full four quarters. He wants to prove he can compete with the best in the game. Well, he’s going to get that with Jalen Ramsey.Jefferson says the cornerback he wants to face the most is Ramsey. Even though that matchup is months away, it’s one that NFL fans should be excited about.
