Jets acquire Jaguars RB James Robinson after Breece Hall injury

New York Jets running back Breece Hall is out for the season, which is a true shame for both him and the Jets because he’s been having a spectacular season.

The rookie from Iowa State notched 463 yards and four touchdowns in the first 80 attempts of his NFL career, but unfortunately he suffered an ACL tear and a meniscus injury in New York’s 16-9 win over the Denver Broncos this past Sunday.

The Jets are surprisingly 5-2 and in the middle of a season that has them No. 2 in the AFC East behind the Buffalo Bills, but losing a player of Hall’s ability — even considering the fact that he’s a rookie — will be tough to overcome.

With that said, the Jets are going to at least try to replace Hall.

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that New York has swung a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Running back James Robinson will be heading up to New York. The Jaguars, in exchange, will receive a conditional sixth-round draft pick that has the potential to become a fifth-round pick.
