Jerami Grant Out For Six Weeks With Sprained Thumb

Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant is going to be sidelined well into the new year. The team announced Grant has a sprained UCL in his right thumb. Grant will be reevaluated in six weeks.

Grant has been Detroit’s best player the last two seasons. This year, Grant is averaging 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

The Pistons entered play on Sunday with NBA’s worst record at 4-21. There has been endless speculation Detroit could trade Grant for a package young talent and/or draft picks to aid in their ongoing rebuild.
