James Harden Does Not Return For Individual Workout, Told Rockets He Will Report Soon

James Harden missed the Houston Rockets’ first practice on Sunday due to COVID-19 protocols, said Stephen Silas.

Harden also did not return for an individual workout on Sunday night but told the team that he will report soon, sources told Tim MacMahon of ESPN

Silas, who said that he hasn’t recently communicated with Harden.

“We’re looking forward to having him here and getting to his individual workout. That’s the word I heard from the pipeline. Once he gets here, obviously the best communication for me would be face-to-face communication — not text, not phone, not anything else,” said Silas.

Harden recently posted pictures on Instagram that showed him at rapper Lil Baby’s birthday party in Atlanta. The NBA required players to quarantine at home this week other than attending essential activities.

John Wall added that he has talked to Harden and believes that Harden wants to remain with the Rockets.

“We’ve been on the same page since I’ve been traded here,” said Wall.
