Jaguars will have second interview with former Eagles coach Doug Pederson?

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ lengthy coaching search will march on with a second interview Tuesday with former Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Pederson, 54, spent five seasons with the Eagles, leading Philadelphia to a victory in Super Bowl LII, but just one playoff win in the three seasons that followed. He was fired after Philadelphia finished the 2020 season with a 4-11-1 record and he didn’t coach at all in 2021.

According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, Pederson “had trepidation over the setup in Jacksonville” after his first interview with the team. That appears to be a bit of a theme for the Jaguars during their coaching search as Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was reportedly unwilling to finalize a deal with the Jaguars due to the presence of general manager Trent Baalke.
