Insider hints there could be potential Derek Carr news soon

While there’s been next to no news on Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, one NFL insider believes things could pick up steam this week with several general managers and head coaches gathering in Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl.

SI.com’s Albert Breer recently stated that Raiders general manager Dave Ziegler will be in attendance at the college all-star game (where coincidentally the Matthew Stafford to Los Angeles Rams trade gained traction two years ago), and it wouldn’t be surprising if a few teams began kicking the tires on Vegas’ three-time Pro Bowler.

“As things advance, I’d think three of the NFC South teams (Saints, Panthers, Buccaneers) could throw hats in the ring,” Breer wrote. “And maybe the Jets would, too (the Commanders and Colts are two others to consider, though they might be gun shy given their recent strikeouts on trades for second-chance veteran QBs).”
