Houston YouTube prankster arrested during Instagram Live in Texas

A video going viral shows a Houston-based YouTube prankster getting arrested in Texas during a livestream on Instagram. Jidon Adams, also known as JiDion, can be seen in the video being arrested by a Galveston officer. It’s hard to identify which law enforcement agency the officer is with, but Galveston County records show that Adams was arrested Sunday afternoon, April 16, for a Harris County warrant.

The video starts off with Adams sitting in a vehicle after he was stopped by police, telling his viewers, “I’m about to go to jail.”

Adams is asked to step out of his vehicle and after a short conversation with the officer, he is asked to place his phone down so he can be put in handcuffs. He puts the phone down on the car but keeps the livestream going as he is arrested. Even though he is being arrested, Adams is still in content creator mode.

“Is it cool if I get a thumbnail?” Adams asks the cop, referring to the preview image used on YouTube videos.

“I’ll let you do that when we get to the station,” the officer said.

Houston police issued a warrant for Adams last week for trespassing. The YouTuber posted about the warrant on Twitter on April 10, saying he believed the warrant was for a video where he and another YouTube prankster, damii. In that video, Adams and the other content creator ask a professor during her class at the University of Houston to be their Valentine. The professor threatens to call the campus police before the pranksters leave.

Adams trolled the Houston Police Department last week, going as far as tagging police in a tweet saying he was back in Houston. He also posted a photo of himself in front of one of the police stations with a sign that read “L + Ratio.”

MySA hasn’t found records saying Adams has been released, but he posted a story to Instagram on Tuesday, April 18, showing him in the back of an SUV being driven by a man he claims is his attorney
