The Spurs have now lost three in a row.

Coming off a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bulls this past Monday, the Spurs looked to get back on the right path with a win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Jeremy Sochan missed this game due to back tightness, and the Spurs could’ve used a good defender. After a competitive first quarter, the Spurs allowed a 15-0 run and were outscored 34-19 in the second quarter. The deficit would balloon back to double digits despite a late push to cut the lead from 19 to eight. The Bucks ultimately won 121-106.

Keldon Johnson led the team with a double-double: 24 points and 11 rebounds. He also pitched in an assist. The Spurs had been 8-1 when Keldon scores 15+ points.

KJ drives on Brook Lopez and finishes after the spin!

Chris Paul had a solid game with 18 points (season-high 5 of 6 from three), seven assists, five rebounds, a steal, and a block.

He was en fuego from the three-point line, including three made in the third quarter alone! Here, he uses the screen from Castle to shoot over a late contest from Lopez!

How about a transition three?

He also has the catch and shoot badge!

Devin Vassell dropped 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and a steal. He made history by becoming the fastest Spur to drain 500 career threes!

Victor Wembanyama had an unusual low scoring game, but also dropped a double-double: 10 points and 10 rebounds. He also swatted 3 shots, grabbed two steals, and dropped a dime. After scoring seven in the first quarter, the Bucks proceeded to double team Wemby to force him to pass.

NOPE! Wemby swats Giannis Antetokounmpo’s layup into the crowd!

Wemby is playing pickup! After getting Andre Jackson Jr. with the pump fake, he drains a one-legged three!

RIDICULOUS! Wemby somehow pulls an up and under layup on Giannis!

One of Wemby’s amazing skills is his recovery on defense. Here, Giannis has the first step, but Wemby is able to recover by blocking his shot off the backboard!

Stephon Castle dropped five points, five assists, and POSTERIZED Lopez!

Charles Bassey dropped four points, two rebounds, a steal, and a block. Right place, right time. CP3 finds CB under the basket for the wide open slam!

Tre Jones turned 25 and dropped three points, five assists, two rebounds, and a steal. The three points came on this and-one finish!

This is one of those losses that you flush away as soon as possible. The Bucks were unconscious from three, and the Spurs were missing open shots. Sooner or later Brian Wright needs to make a decision on trades, especially if we’re competing for a playoff spot. As someone pointed out on X, Devin Vassell grows less untouchable each game. Hopefully, he bounces out of his slump.

Finally, here are the full game highlights.

The Spurs take on the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena this Saturday at 9:30 P.M. (CST) on FDSN-SW.
