Harry Kane apologises to Declan Rice after celebration gaffe sees West Ham star go viral

England pair Harry Kane and Declan Rice were involved in an amusing exchange on social media this evening, on the back of England’s victory over Albania.

Kane & Mount on target

The Three Lions were of course back in action a short time ago.

Gareth Southgate’s men made the trip to Tirana, for a World Cup qualifying showdown with Albania.

England headed into proceedings with spirits no doubt high in the country’s camp, after getting their campaign off to a flyer courtesy of a 5-0 downing of San Marino during the week.

And, when all was said and done this evening, the visitors went on to make it two wins from two.

A solid if unspectacular showing eventually saw the Three Lions emerge on the right side of a 2-0 scoreline.

Harry Kane opened the scoring shortly before the interval, directing home Luke Shaw’s fine cross from the left with a pinpoint header:

And the evening’s scoring was rounded out shortly after the hour mark, when Kane this time turned provider, to tee up Mason Mount’s casual dinked finish:

‘Should have checked my shoulder!’

As outlined above, meanwhile, on the back of their latest victory this evening, two of England’s stars have since been at the heart of an altogether amusing online exchange.

This came after Declan Rice highlighted a moment during the celebrations for Kane’s opener, which saw the nation’s captain leave his fellow countryman hanging, in comical fashion:

Kane, in turn, has since responded to Rice’s post, jokingly suggesting that he should have been better aware of his surroundings:
