Hanson: I’ve missed that roar when we score

The Scottish international found the net on seven occasions for United in 2020/21, but with no fans in the stadiums for any of those strikes, there is a fair chance that Hanson will have enjoyed her first of this campaign more than any of those, with a 2,000-strong cheer greeting her opener on 39 minutes.

“I was absolutely delighted, one-on-one with the ‘keeper, from a brilliant pass by Tooney [Ella Toone]. We’ve been working on it in training so we’re delighted that paid off and it’s absolutely amazing to score that goal. 

“I’ve really missed that, just the roar and celebrating with the fans. We really missed that last season.”
