Back at the end of February, news that classic DS Pokémon adventures would be coming to Switch in the remade form of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl came as a delightful surprise to millions of Pokénthusiasts.

With a bespoke chibi art style and elements from Pokémon Platinum spotted in the launch trailer — not to mention the entirely new adventure of Pokémon Legends: Arceus set long ago in the Sinnoh region — Gen IV fans have a bumper crop of Pocket Monster magic to look forward to on Switch in the next year or so, and this pair of games is arriving on 19th November 2021 along with a new Switch Lite dropping earlier in the month that features the Gen IV Legendary pair Dialga and Palkia.
