George Lopez, celebrities react to death of TikTok duo Enkyboys’ father

Many celebrities, like George Lopez, have reacted and sent their condolences after the death of the father of the TikTok Texas duo Enkyboys. Randy Gonzalez, who’s from Houston, died from his battle with colon cancer on Wednesday, January 25. He was 35.

Gonzalez told his more than 1.4 million followers on Instagram on April 12, 2022 that he had been battling colon cancer after being diagnosed six months prior. Gonzalez said that his doctor said he only had two or three years to live, noting he could extend it to five if he went through chemotherapy.

Gonzalez and his son Brice are known for creating hilarious TikTok videos together, gathering 15 million followers. The pair have blown up since they started their TikTok journey together in November 2019. The fame rose, even more, after Brice landed a role in George Lopez’s new show, Lopez V. Lopez. He was cast as the grandson of George and son of Mayan, Lopez’s daughter on the show and in real life.

On Instagram, Lopez posted about Gonzalez and Brice, writing a thoughtful caption about the pair. He said, “My sincerest condolences to Brice and the entire Gonzalez family. The love and the bond Randy had for his son and his family was undeniable, you can see it in every video. He will be missed, but never forgotten. My heart goes out to the entire family. Dios te bendiga”

In the comments, several celebrities also reacted to the news of Gonzalez’s death. Comedian Loni Love thanked George for giving Brice a part on his show, adding how that made his father so proud. She said, “He was such a ray of light and will be missed. Condolences to his family.”

“Rest In Peace,” said actor Emilio Rivera, who works alongside Brice in Eva Longoria’s upcoming film, Flamin’ Hot. “Very Sad.”

Other celebrities who put broken heart and prayer emojis were Saturday Night Live member Kenan Thompson, actress Niecy Nash, who most recently appeared in Netflix’s Dahmer, and actor Noel Gugliemi, best known for his role in Training Day.

Longoria also wrote in her Instagram story that she had the privilege of meeting Gonzalez on the set of her Flamin’ Hot film. She said, “Amazing talent and amazing father and husband. You will be missed. I miss you already.”

San Antonio’s own creator Ajay Rivas also expressed his sadness about the news on Instagram. He wrote, “Words cannot express the feeling… going to miss you, bro! The good times with the camera were off and on. Will forever everyone cherish those moments! Condolences to the Enky Fam!”

Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and three children, Aubree, Brice, and Lauren.
