George Kittle responds to viral Jimmy Garoppolo, cheerleaders video

The biggest story of the midweek hovering over the San Francisco 49ers continues to be that viral video involving quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo

“I will say this: Besides the very first woman that came up to say ‘Hi’ to Jimmy, they all said ‘Hi’ to all of us,” 49ers All-Pro tight end George Kittle said about the subject during an appearance on San Francisco sports radio station 95.7 The Game, per David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone.

Kittle was referring to how Golden State Warriors cheerleaders flocked to interact with Garoppolo during Monday’s home game against the San Antonio Spurs:

As Ryan Gaydos explained for Fox News, Kittle had a courtside seat for the contest along with Garoppolo, running back Christian McCaffrey and fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

Kittle was able to joke about the matter in several ways.

“Besides Christian. They all left Christian out to dry. I don’t know why,” Kittle said about the ladies who introduced themselves to Garoppolo. “The best part about that, too, that wasn’t the Golden State dancers. “That was the—I’m not gonna say elderly—I’m going to say the older dancers that came up to say ‘Hi’ to us, which made it 10 times better. Because they were all just the biggest fans. I will say, they were all very, very infatuated with Jimmy G.”

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed such attention is nothing new for Garoppolo and said that it’s “a tough life he’s got to live” being so popular among a vast portion of the population.

“They’re decent-looking guys, right?” Shanahan added about the other players who watched Golden State down San Antonio 132-95. “They play for us. They’re nothing…If you want to not be noticed, just sit next to [Garoppolo].”

Garoppolo and company will be focused more so on winning when the 5-4 49ers take on the 4-6 Arizona Cardinals this coming Monday night.
