Game Thread: San Antonio Spurs vs Utah Jazz

The Spurs try to get back on the winning track, but without Aldridge, it isn’t going to be easy to beat the Jazz
Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
With .2 seconds left, a free throw bounces off the back rim, and the Spurs lose another heartbreaker. LaMarcus Aldridge out again for tonight’s game against the Jazz, and the reeling Spurs aren’t given much of a chance to win against one of the hottest teams in the west. But if you look at how things have gone this season, it’s not so easy to predict the outcome, while the Spurs have lost to some bad teams, they’ve also beaten good teams soundly. The most consistent thing about this year’s Spurs team is their lack of consistency. So it’s a good time for Dejounte Murray to bounce back with a solid effort and for Jakob Poeltl to hit his free throws. Chimezie Metu should play better tonight after suffering jitters after logging his first significant NBA minutes against the Bulls on Monday. Clean up the mistakes, and have a breakout game from one of the young guys, and this game could be a win for the Silver and Black. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
