Game Thread: San Antonio Spurs vs Orlando Magic

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Spurs try to get back on the winning track tonight.

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs haven’t played on February 29 since 2012, when they lost to the Bulls 96-89, with Derrick Rose leading the Bulls with 29 pts. and Gary Neal with 21 for the good guys. Tonight, they face the Magic at the AT&T Center and try to get back on the winning track. LaMarcus Aldridge is expected to be out tonight with a sore shoulder, and if he is, the Spurs should play small again with Lonnie Walker IV playing a wing. This should be a fun contest that the Spurs are expected to have a good shot at a win, but the lesson of this season is not to expect anything. Let’s watch the game and have fun watching the young players learn. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
