Game Thread: San Antonio Spurs vs Milwaukee Bucks

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Spurs try to get their first win of 2020, but they’re facing one of the league’s best teams

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Do you have a weird sense that this has all happened before? It’s called deja vu, and it’s because the Spurs and Bucks played each other just two days ago in Milwaukee. This time, they’re in the AT&T Center, and Dejounte Murray should be available. Hopefully, that will lead to a different outcome than Saturday’s contest, where Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks were able to shut down the Spurs offense in the second half and get open shots all night long. LaMarcus Aldridge needs to continue his hot three-point shooting, and keep it going past the first quarter. DeMar DeRozan needs to keep up his work as a facilitator for the offense, and hopefully Lonnie Walker IV will start again and build on his first career start performance on Saturday. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
