The Spurs look for a win against the struggling Pistons
Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
Last time the Spurs met the Pistons, the team from Detroit went wild shooting three-point baskets, hitting 15 out of 31 attempts, leading to a 34 point Pistons blowout win. Journeyman Christian Wood had the best game of his career that night, but they couldn’t stop anyone. The Spurs didn’t do a great job defending the three against the Mavericks on Thursday night, but overall the defense has been improving recently. On paper, this looks like a game that the Spurs should win at home, but this year, there haven’t been any easy wins for the Silver and Black (except for the game against the Grizzlies). If the good guys can keep Andre Drummond from killing them on the boards, and hit some shots, it should be a chance for the Spurs to pick up a win and move closer to the 8th playoff spot. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
