Gamble Ramble: Betting The Raiders In Week 12

Time for some more Gamble Ramble! Betting on the Las Vegas Raiders has been tough sledding, but we did successfully pick them to upset the Denver Broncos last week. This week’s matchup with the Seahawks will be much tougher, though. Regardless, we will try to find three good bets for this matchup from a purely objective standpoint. All lines come via Draft Kings as of Saturday morning.

Smartest Raiders Bet: Seahawks -4 (-110)

It is really hard to see how the Raiders can even cover this spread, let alone win. The Seahawks run the ball so well, and that’s truly the Raiders’ kryptonite. It also doesn’t help that the Raiders offense is almost completely depleted of weapons. On top of Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow being on Injured Reserve, Josh Jacobs is now listed as questionable for this week.

Look for Seattle to take full control of this game. The Raiders just don’t have what it takes to compete with a team like this right now. The Seahawks should cover four points comfortably. If you are into alternative spreads, I’d be willing to lay up to eight points.

Safest Raiders Bet: Kenneth Walker III to Score a Touchdown (-170)

Continuing on what was said earlier, the Seahawks should dominate this game on the ground. Walker is the team’s workhorse and is playing great. He has six touchdowns in his last five games. The only game in that span in which he did not score was last week against Tampa Bay. In that game, he only got 10 carries, which is about half as many as he normally receives. The game situation just didn’t allow for him to get his normal workload.

When the Seahawks are executing their game plan effectively, Walker is getting the ball a ton and finishing their drives in the end zone. The Raiders’ defense is putrid, especially against teams that run the ball well. There is no reason why Seattle shouldn’t be able to do whatever they want. Walker should be a lock to score.

Best Risky Bet: Foster Moreau to Score a Touchdown (+295)

The Raiders keep trying to involve Moreau in the passing game, but it has not worked out so well. Moreau has seemed to struggle with his new role in the offense. At times, he doesn’t seem to be where he is supposed to be. Other times, he just can’t execute. Still, the Raiders need him to get going, so expect them to continue to feed him targets, especially in the red zone.

The Raiders like to have guys work through their struggles. They recently did this with Mack Hollins. The receiver struggled mightily two weeks ago against the Colts, so they made it a point to get him going against the Broncos. Look for Moreau to get forced a bunch of targets. He just might score on one too. The value is worth throwing a few bucks at it at +295.
