League sources see Fred VanVleet as being more effective on an established than “being the lone star,” according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.
VanVleet has drawn the interest of several teams, including the Pistons, Knicks, and Suns.
The Raptors reportedly would like to re-sign VanVleet below $80 million over four years to maintain flexibility for the 2021 off-season.
VanVleet averaged 17.6 points and 6.6 assists last season.
