FPL bosses take note: Andy Robertson fitness update ahead of Chelsea clash
Liverpool star Andrew Robertson has, on Thursday, provided a fitness update on himself, ahead of the club’s meeting with Chelsea.
Liverpool’s left-back latest
Scottish stopper Robertson has of course spent the last couple of weeks on the sidelines.
The 27-year-old picked up an ankle injury during a pre-season meeting with Athletic Club, and has since committed his efforts towards a full recovery.
In his place, Kostas Tsimikas has been the man depended on by Jurgen Klopp to fill the left side of the Reds’ backline.
And the Greek, all told, has risen to the challenge laid in front of him in impressive fashion.
A pair of clean sheets versus Norwich and Burnley, the latter of which saw Tsimikas also bag a classy assist, have resulted in the 25-year-old establishing himself as something of a cult figure amongst regular players of Fantasy Premier League.

‘Be ready’
Such bosses, however, will likely be forced to change up their plans this weekend.
This comes with an update on Robertson’s wellbeing having been forthcoming on Thursday, courtesy of none other than the Scot himself.
Speaking to the media in anticipation of a highly anticipated Premier League showdown with Chelsea on Saturday evening, ‘Robbo’ was asked for the latest on his recovery.
And the ex-Hull City man went on to explain:
‘I’ll have a full week of training so let’s see what happens against Chelsea. But I’ll be ready, I’ll be ready to play, and like I said I’ll hopefully be fit for the rest of the season now.’
Robertson ready for Saturday: “I’ll have a full week of training so let’s see what happens against Chelsea. But I’ll be ready, I’ll be ready to play, and like I said I’ll hopefully be fit for the rest of the season now.”
