Foden Makes Prediction About England Teammate Who Is Among The “Top Three In The World”

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has praised international teammate Marcus Rashford after the United forward scored a brace for England against Wales on Tuesday evening.

Foden also got on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win but he was keen to compliment Rashford, who he feels could be in contention for the Golden Boot if he continues to be lethal in front of goal:

“This guy for sure is top three in the world the way he strikes the ball so if he continues to hit the target he’s going to score a lot of goals, for sure.”

Rashford’s form for Manchester United and England this season has been rather surprising, considering how poorly he has performed in recent years. Talks over a new deal had stalled, prompting talk about a move to Chelsea, but his recent displays mean he will likely remain at Old Trafford

City supporters have no such concerns with Foden, who signed a lucrative new deal last month. Some were worried before the Wales game that he would be slated by England fans if he didn’t perform but he silenced any doubters with an outstanding performance. Both he and Rashford are now expected to start against Senegal in the round of 16.
