The San Antonio Fire Department responded to a fire on the Northwest Side around 12:04 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials say SAFD responded to the scene at the Sapphire Apartments at 8727 Fredericksburg Road where they found 16 apartment units affected by the fire and 8 completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
