Fernandes: Win is the most important thing

United’s no.8 – who made his 100th Premier League appearance for the club – was full of praise for the opposition after a hard-fought victory.

“We did it [got three points]. It was really hard. Compliment to Fulham, they were amazing. Great team, they played really well, really good football, really aggressive off the ball, really well organised.

“It was really tough to play against them, we knew that [would be the case]. But we got the three points and that is the most important thing. 

“It all counts the same anyway, but it is always good to finish with a win.”
