Falcons trade for Raiders WR Bryan Edwards

According to multiple reports, the Las Vegas Raiders have traded wide receiver Bryan Edwards and a 2023 seventh-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2023 fifth-round pick.

The Raiders deal the two-year pro just days after signing former New York Jets wideout Keelan Cole to a one-year deal

In his sophomore campaign last season, Edwards played in 16 games, starting 12 for Las Vegas. The 23-year-old finished fourth in the NFL in yards per reception (16.8), hauling in 34 catches for 571 yards and three touchdowns.

Edwards caught three passes in the playoffs, two for first downs, for 41 yards.

Las Vegas selected Edwards in the third round of the 2020 draft out of South Carolina. Edwards played four years for the Gamecocks, finishing with 234 receptions, fourth all-time in SEC history

Edwards started 15 of 28 games in two seasons for the Raiders. He caught 45 of 74 targets, averaging 17.0 yards per reception for 764 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Edwards joins a wide receiver group in Atlanta featuring eighth overall pick Drake London, Olamide Zaccheaus and Damiere Byrd.
