Factfile: Get to know Natasha Flint

Natasha Flint put pen to paper on a deal with Liverpool FC Women on Wednesday – get to know the new No.26 with our factfile.

The 26-year-old forward became the newest addition to Matt Beard’s outfit ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, bringing a three-year spell at Leicester City to a close.

She signed her first deal at 17. Flint penned her first contract with Manchester City after being called into the senior side from the academy ahead of their first Barclays Women’s Super League campaign in 2014. She was also named in the starting line-up as City won the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup that season and saw a strike against Chelsea nominated for WSL Goal of the Season.

A representative of England at youth level. Flint earned caps for England from U19 to U23 level. She represented her country at the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship on three separate occasions, alongside one appearance at the FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup.

An experienced figure. Following her departure from Man City, she joined AFC Fylde – ahead of spells with Notts County and Sheffield FC amid two further stints with Fylde. In December 2017, she made the switch to Blackburn Rovers, where she helped the club reach the FA Women’s Championship for the first time in 2018-19, totalling 70 goals in 66 games for Rovers across her three seasons before joining Leicester in 2020.

She’s a prolific forward. Flint will bring an attacking threat to the Reds’ frontline this season. After her impressive Rovers record, she top-scored in her debut season with Leicester, notching 21 goals in all competitions to help fire the Foxes into the WSL. Flint also recently spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan with Celtic in Scotland, scoring eight league goals during her short stay.

A goalscorer in last season’s Scottish Cup final. Flint scored the opening goal of the game in the Women’s Scottish Cup final last season. Celtic retained the trophy by beating city rivals Rangers 2-0 at Hampden Park.
