Everything that will be closed in New Braunfels for Thanksgiving

Even as families prepare to cook their Thanksgiving dinners, there’s always a few pesky errands needing to be done. With that in mind, residents in New Braunfels need to know that most city offices will be closed for Thanksgiving Day, while others are adjusting their hours.

The city offices and facilities that will be closed in observance of Thanksgiving include city hall, municipal court, the public library, parks and recreation offices, the Fischer Park Nature Center, solid waste and recycling administrative offices, the city recycling center, and the Westside community center.   

For any residents that usually get their trash and recycling picked up on Thursdays, those customers can put their cans out for pick up on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving on November 25, according to the release.

The hours at the public library have been adjusted on Wednesday, November 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Das Rec also has a modified hours of operation scheduled on Wednesday through Friday. The facility will be open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the release.

The Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs is closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will resume normal hours on Friday, November 25. For more information on specific facilities call New Braunfels at 830-221-4000.
