City come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid – with Kevin De Bruyne scoring for the Manchester side.

Everton defeated Brighton in their last game – with Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil scoring in a 5-1 win.

Sean Dyche’s side sit 17th in the table and are currently one point ahead of the drop zone.

When is Everton vs Manchester City?

The clash between Everton and Manchester City will take place tomorrow, with kick-off at 2pm.

Everton’s showdown with the league leaders will take place at Goodison Park, where the Toffees have won one of their last five games in all competitions. 

Dwight McNeil is currently Everton’s top scorer this season, with seven goals in all competitions. The winger has scored four goals in his last five games.

Erling Haaland is Manchester City’s top scorer this season, with 51 goals in all competitions. The forward has scored three goals in his last five games.

How to watch

Tomorrow’s clash between Everton and Manchester City will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League with coverage getting underway at 1pm.

The game between the two teams will also be streamed on the Sky Go app.

Team news

Everton will likely be without Seamus Coleman yet again as he continues to recover from a knee injury last month.

Andros Townsend, Ruben Vinagre and Ben Godfrey also remain unavailable for the Toffees. 

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is once again likely to lead the line, with McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Alex Iwobi in behind the forward.

As for the away side, with the second leg of the Champions League clash with Real Madrid still to come, City may make a few changes.

The likes of Julian Alvarez, Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte and Phil Foden could all start.

Nathan Ake is set to remain on the sidelines as he recovers from an injury.

What’s been said?

Heading into the game with City, Dyche gave his thoughts on the clash with the league leaders.

‘They have very good players in the squad, he (Pep Guardiola) might rotate but we can’t look on everything they do, we have to focus on what we do. Remind ourselves of the good group we have got,’ Dyche said at his pre-match press conference.

The manager was also asked to give his thoughts on playing the side between the two Madrid games. 

‘These clubs are used to the big games. We can’t rely on that. We have to go in with everything right. We certainly can’t overthink how many games they have.’

Despite City’s game against Madrid next week, Guardiola says that his side must focus on Everton

As for City, while the club have one eye on the second leg with Madrid, Guardiola insists that his focus is on the game against Everton.

‘We don’t have much time from Madrid because we play on Sunday, thank you so much,’ Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference.  

‘But it’s a real, real priority Goodison Park. We play for all competitions. We have to switch. Adapt. Four games left in the Premier League and it’s important to us to be there, to keep what we play for in our hands. We train tomorrow and we have to prepare as well as possible. 

‘There was big results in the Premier League but we thought in the last games everyone plays for something and it will be tough. It can happen. They (Everton) scored the first goal (vs Brighton) in the first minute, a surprise for the two early goals, the physicality Everton have is really, really good. Anything can happen.’

Prediction 

With Everton still in a battle to stay in the division, the Toffees will need to put in their best performance of the season to get the job done against City.

The likes of McNeil and Calvert-Lewin have the ability to cause City’s defence a lot of trouble, but it looks set to be a tough day at the office for Dyche’s men.

While City may have one eye on the semi-final second leg with Madrid, they’re still involved in a battle to win the league.

Should Haaland and Alvarez lead the line from the off, expect City to walk away with the game.
