Everton Engage in Talks with Manchester United for Anthony Elanga's Signing

In the latest report, Everton Football Club has initiated discussions with Manchester United regarding the potential signing of promising winger Anthony Elanga. This development comes as no surprise, given Everton’s longstanding interest in the talented player.

Negotiations are currently underway, positioning Everton as the frontrunners for Elanga’s signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Everton’s Persistent Pursuit

Recent days have seen Everton intensify their pursuit of Anthony Elanga, showcasing their unwavering desire to secure the winger’s services.

This consistent interest from the Toffees suggests that they view Elanga as a valuable addition to their squad. During the January transfer window, Everton expressed their interest in acquiring Elanga’s services on loan.

However, their plans were thwarted by the manager of Manchester United, Ten Hag. It was reported that Ten Hag had concerns about the atmosphere at Goodison Park, leading to the loan move being blocked.

Transfer Fee and Contract Situation

Anthony Elanga’s current contract with Manchester United is set to expire in June 2026.

To secure his transfer, it is suggested that Everton should be prepared to offer a fee of approximately €20 million to Manchester United. This valuation reflects the potential and promise that Elanga possesses.

At present, Elanga finds himself lower in the pecking order among the talented attacking players at Manchester United. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho present formidable competition for playing time.

Given this intense competition for places, it appears that a move away from Old Trafford during the ongoing transfer window would be in Elanga’s best interest.
