Erin Popovich’s memorial service is set for May 18
Erin Popovich’s memorial service has been set. It will take place on Monday, May 18 at the Cadet Catholic Chapel of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The wife of Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich passed away on April 18 after an extended battle with an undisclosed illness. She was the daughter of longtime Air Force Academy athletic trainer Jim I. Conboy and Jeanne L. (Mulligan) Conboy. She met Pop during his time at the Academy.
In her obituary, Erin is described as a “devoted wife, mother and grandmother who derived great joy from her family and friends. She was a special person that provided much laughter and advice for all. She took great pride in the Spurs success and being part of the Spurs family.”
Memorial contributions can be made in her honor to CHEST Foundation or ThriveWell Cancer Foundation of San Antonio.
