Dressed for Success: Max Homa at Wells Fargo Championship

Max Homa beat both the field and the weather at the Wells Fargo Championship at TPC Potomac this weekend to claim his fourth PGA Tour victory.

Off the course, Homa is a social media legend, but on the course Max is known for his steady demeanor and eye-catching shirts.

FootJoy does a great job of promoting their athletes, and Homa is no exception. Check out more info on Homa’s favorite FootJoy items.

We’ve already taken a look into Homa’s winning equipment, so now let’s dive into the champion’s closet and see how Max dressed for success at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.

Max Homa loves a printed polo. This weekend, Homa modeled the graphite and quartz pink version of the Shadow Palm Lisle Self Collar polo from FootJoy. The ProDry fabric keeps you dry on the course and cool under pressure, just like Homa on Sunday.

FootJoy is the No. 1 shoe in golf for a reason. This spikeless shoe is just another in FootJoy’s top-of-the-line Premiere Series that includes the Packard and the Tarlow. Homa wasn’t the only one in FootJoy shoes this weekend as 62% of the Wells Fargo field trusted their feet to FJ.

While we included FootJoy’s Athletic-Fit on our list of Best Men’s Pants for 2022, we just as easily could have included the Tour Pants. The Tour pants feature wrinkle and shrink-free fabric and a four-way stretch that keep you looking great without interfering with your swing.

The rain got most of the weather headlines this weekend, but on Sunday the cold led Homa to wear both a sweater and a base layer. The Tech Sweater from FootJoy is a wool blend that both retains heat and leaves you feeling comfy and cozy.

BASE LAYER: Phase One

Homa ditched the sweater as he made his way through the final round at TPC Potomac, but as you can see from the picture above FootJoy’s Phase One Base Layer stayed on through the fist pump after final putt. Made to fit closely to the body, the long-sleeve shirt helps regulate body temperature without restricting your movement.

Averee Dovsek just gave us the lowdown on where Tour players get their fancy belts, but when it mattered most Homa went with a classic woven look from FootJoy. Featuring a nice blend of polyester and elasticized thread, the belt looks great while providing maximum mobility.
