Derrick White is available to play against the Lakers on New Years Day
Is this a sign that 2021 will be better? In the first bit of good news heading into the New Year for the Spurs, Derrick White is listed as available for tomorrow’s rematch against the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Derrick White will be available for the Spurs tomorrow when they face the Lakers. White has not played since the Orlando bubble, having undergone toe surgery in the offseason.

White has been out since getting injured in the Orlando Bubble and undergoing toe surgery in the offseason. As good as the Spurs youth movement has looked so far, imagining the addition of the newly-extended Derrick White to the group has been an exciting prospect, and now it’s about to become reality.
LaMarcus Aldridge remains questionable for tomorrow’s game with a sore knee, and Quinndary Weatherspoon is still out following offseason knee surgery.
