Deebo Samuel and The San Francisco 49ers agree to a three-year Contract Extension

The San Francisco 49ers and their fans can breathe easy now that super star wide receiver Deebo Samuel has agreed to a contract extension with the 49ers. The news broke late Sunday afternoon by NFL Networks Ian Rapport, and ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeting that wide receiver Deebo Samuel signed a three-year, $71.55 million extension, including $58.1 million guaranteed. Deebo Samuel and the 49ers were able to get a deal done before the first padded practice on August 1st.

The San Francisco 49ers Nightmare is Over

It was a difficult off-season for the San Francisco 49ers and their fans seeing wide receiver Deebo Samuel request a trade from their team after a truly unique season leading his team to the NFC Championship game. The drama is over and the 49ers can finally have all their offensive skill position players, including wide receiver Deebo Samuel, on the field for the first day of padded practice during week two of 49ers training camp.

It’s All About Chemistry

The player impacted the most by the San Francisco 49ers signing Deebo Samuel to a contract extension is second-year Quarterback Trey Lance. Lance needs all the first-team reps he can get during the 49ers training camp with the many offensive weapons on the 49ers’ dynamic offense like George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, Elijah Mitchell, and Kyle Juszczyk, but especially Deebo Samuel. He also needs the live full-speed eleven on eleven reps against a top elite defense to get ready for the NFL live game experience against an elite NFL defense, as Nick Bosa and Fred Warner have led the 49ers.

Elite Company

San Francisco 49ers superstar wide receiver Deebo Samuel is now the sixth highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. He averages 24.5 million dollars a year, and he is only behind wide receivers Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, Cooper Kupp, and AJ Brown in terms of highest paid and average per year in terms of earnings.
