Dallas Cowboys to sign quarterback to two-year deal

The Dallas Cowboys to re-sign quarterback

The Dallas Cowboys are set to have another good situation under center for the 2023 season after signing a quarterback Friday. The Cowboys applied the franchise tag to Tony Pollard this offseason. They restructured the contract of Dak Prescott and some fellow teammates to make sure the offensive line was set.

The Cowboys will move on from running back Ezekiel Elliott, who would have likely been the Cowboys’ number two option next season behind Pollard, in order to save cap for more help. They will now have one of the better backup quarterback situations next season.

According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Cowboys will re-sign Cooper Rush to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $6 million. The 2023 season and his signing bonus will be guaranteed.
