Dallas Cowboys Reviewed Interceptions With Dark Prescott This Offseason

The Dallas Cowboys want to cut down on Dak Prescott INT’s

Dak Prescott threw a career-high 15 interceptions for the Dallas Cowboys last season. Those interceptions came out of 394 passing attempts, the second lowest attempts in his seven seasons as an NFL quarterback. That’s not what the Cowboys need out of Dak Prescott.

According to the Cowboys website, head coach Mike McCarthy said at the League Annual Meeting that the team is working to remedy Prescott’s interception problem. His staff spent time with Prescott earlier this offseason reviewing his interceptions:

“Definitely, we spent some time,” McCarthy said Tuesday, via the team’s official website. “He was in for the captains workout (earlier this month). So he came up and spent about four hours with (quarterbacks coach) Scott (Tolzien) and I. And we went back and looked at his decision-making opportunities and the interceptions and potential interceptions and just talking through it.”

The Cowboys are hoping to improve Prescott’s decision-making in the 2023 offense. McCarthy has taken over playcalling duties for the offense next season. McCarthy could be more quarterback friendly with the play sheet than Kellen Moore , who will be working with Justin Herbert as the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive coordinator this season.
