The team needed to save money to help keep contributors on the roster. Reports have come out recently that running back Ezekiel Elliot and tight end Dalton Shultz could part from Dallas this offseason. According to Field Yates with ESPN, the Cowboys restructured quarterback Dak Prescott and offensive guard Zack Martin. The move will save the Cowboys $30 million in cap space for next season.
