Dak Prescott raves about Cowboys’ new ‘Texas Coast’ offense

With former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore out and head coach Mike McCarthy in as offensive play-caller, many have wondered what a new-look Dallas Cowboys offense will look like.

If you ask quarterback Dak Prescott, McCarthy is keeping many of the same formations and schemes Dallas ran last season under Moore. However, he’s adding a West Coast flare, which changes, in Prescott’s estimation, roughly 30 to 35 percent of the offensive scheme.

“This is the ‘Texas Coast,'” Prescott told reporters on Wednesday. “We just renamed that, the quarterbacks. It’s got definitely some West Coast principles but has a little bit of what we’ve done in the past and just marrying them together with a lot of detail and maybe in a sense, a system that’s not out there.”
