Dak Prescott and Cowboys not ‘flirting with disaster’ after loss to Green Bay

Some supporters of the Dallas Cowboys overreact to defeats and rashly predict doom for Dak Prescott when he has one bad game.

“Prescott has been flirting with disaster a lot since he returned,” writes The Athletic’s Bob Strum.

Sturm, who has covered the Cowboys for years, criticized Prescott for throwing two interceptions in Sunday’s 31-28 Packers upset.

While these picks marked a turning point against Green Bay, saying Prescott and the team are on the brink of a meltdown is an overstatement.

Per the New York Times, Dallas (6-3) has a 91 percent chance to make the playoffs, and a second consecutive NFC East title is within its grasp.

Prescott can lead the Cowboys to a division title with solid play.

After missing five games with a fractured right thumb in Week 1, Prescott posted a 102.1 passer rating, above the league average, over his past three starts.
