Cristiano Ronaldo, Varane & more: Rangnick provides Manchester United team news update before Everton Cristiano Ronaldo, Varane & more: Rangnick provides Manchester United team news update before Everton

Ralf Rangnick has been speaking to the press on Friday afternoon ahead of Manchester United’s next outing.

Manchester United will face off with Frank Lampard’s Everton in Saturday’s earlier Premier League clash.

When conducting his latest pre-match press conference, one of the main topics up for discussion was team news.

And it was fairly mixed for the Red Devils as whilst Cristiano Ronaldo is back, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani are still injured:

“Cristiano is back again,” Rangnick said on Friday. “Luke is still injured. He will be out for the next two or three weeks. Cavani is still injured, Varane is still injured and the same is true with McTomiany I’m afraid.”

Everton vs Manchester United

It seems obvious, but Saturday’s game is a must-win for Manchester United if they are to stand any chance of resurrecting their top-four hopes.

The Red Devils are currently 7th in the Premier League. However, a win on Saturday would, temporarily at least, draw them level on points with both Tottenham and Arsenal.

And as Arsenal’s season looks to be on the ropes after two major injuries and Spurs are well, Spurs, Man United could mount a late charge for 4th if they are able to find some form.

As for Everton, the possibility of them getting relegated this term is now very much a reality after they blew a 2-1 lead and lost to Burnley in midweek.

The Toffees head into gameweek 31 17th in the Premier League, only one point from safety with no games in hand on 18th-place Burnley.
