Cowboys QB Dak Prescott says Ezekiel Elliott is in the best shape of his life

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott isn’t participating in voluntary workouts at the team’s facility, but that doesn’t mean he’s not preparing for the 2021 campaign.

According to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, Elliott currently looks better than ever.

“Zeke looks great,” Prescott said, according to the Dallas Morning News. “He’s in the best shape of his life. Looking fast. Everybody’s seen the clips of him working out independently with his running back coach. His cuts, just how explosive he is. Excited to have a full year with him again and getting him healthy throughout the whole season.”

Prescott is also healthy after suffering a gruesome ankle injury last season.

Elliott had a solid 2020 season, but it was still his worst in the NFL. The 25-year-old ran for a career-low 979 yards and six touchdowns while averaging just four years per carry.

Both Elliott and Prescott will need to stay healthy and play well if Dallas has hopes of returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2018.
