Cowboys OC Comments On A Head Coaching Future
The head coaching carousel in the NFL is on full tilt at the moment.
In this season alone, three head coaches have been fired, and there will likely be more openings after the season has been completed as well.
Many NFL pundits have pointed to Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as someone who would fit in well to spearhead an NFL team.
Moore has helped lead the Cowboys to a 12-4 record, and his offense is the second-highest-scoring team in the league with 28.8 points per game.
Although Moore only has four years of coaching experience, his impact as a coach has been something of note.
He has been the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator for four seasons, which is more NFL coaching experience than several other current coaches in the league, including Indianapolis Colts coach Jeff Saturday.
As a former NFL player, Moore has experienced what it’s like to be on the field and has been in NFL locker rooms for over ten years at this point.
Can Moore get the head coaching opportunity that many believe he deserves?
At the moment, it appears that Moore isn’t too worried.
The Cowboys are on track to make a run to the postseason.
Being one of the NFL’s top-scoring teams is certainly nothing to sneeze at, and they have won five of their last six games.
If Moore is able to lead the Cowboys to multiple playoff victories, his resume will only get better, and will likely have even more teams calling for his services.
