Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Leads NFL In This Crazy Stat So Far

The Dallas Cowboys were victorious in Week 12, defeating their NFC East rivals, the New York Giants, on Thanksgiving Day, 28-20. New York came into the game short-handed at multiple positions, but Brian Daboll had his team ready to play as the Giants led 13-7 at halftime. However, the second half was a different story as the Cowboys came out ready to play.

They got the job done on both sides of the ball, as the offense got going against a Giants’ defense that was without three starters in the secondary. On defense, they suffocated Daniel Jones and company, keeping Saquon Barkley in check. Without Barkley able to generate production, the Giants’ offense was stuck in neutral.

The struggles of New York’s offense outside of Barkley have been well documented this season, as the game being put on the shoulders of Jones is a recipe for success for opposing teams. That is what the Cowboys forced them into and Dallas took full advantage.

One of the game-wreckers in the game was linebacker Micah Parsons. After winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2021 and finishing second in the Defensive Player of the Year voting, Parsons is looking to take home that hardware this season.

He had another marque performance against Big Blue, picking up two sacks after being shutout in the first matchup of the season. That is the sixth time that Parsons had had two sacks in a game this season, which is the most in the NFL this season, according to PFF.
