Cowboys, Chargers Showing Interest In Signing Bobby Wagner

A lot of people were surprised when the Los Angeles Rams and Bobby Wagner agreed to part ways earlier in the offseason. Bobby Wagner lasted only one season with the franchise before hitting free agency once again in search of a new home. Two teams to keep an eye on could be the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers.

The Rams had a lot of struggles last season but Bobby Wagner was not one of them. He was voted team MVP by his teammates and the numbers that he produced certainly warranted such a designation.

In 17 games, he once again stuffed the stat sheet. 140 combined tackles, a career-high 6.0 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hits, five passes defended and two interceptions rounded out his Second-Team All-Pro 2022. Whoever is lucky enough to sign him this offseason is getting a player still performing at the top of his game.

2022, at 32 years old, was only the second time in his career that Bobby Wagner registered double-digit tackles for loss and quarterback hits. He has totaled triple-digit tackles in every season of his career as he continues to be one of the best at his position in the NFL.

It should come as no surprise that his market is already heating up this offseason. According to Jordan Schultz of The Score, several teams have already reached out. Two of the teams that have made calls are the Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys. Schultz also said that a return to the Seattle Seahawks isn’t out of the question.
