Could Kyle Walker be a Man City differential Fantasy Football pick after explaining his goal against Swansea

Walker explains freak goal

Kyle Walker was back in the starting line-up and back amongst the goals for Manchester City in their 3-1 victory over Swansea City in the FA Cup 6th round.

“I just saw the far post and thought I’d put it in the back of the net,” joked Walker.

“It was a cross but, listen, we’ve deserved a bit of luck with the way we’ve been playing and I’m lucky to get on the scoresheet.”

“Obviously, we’ve made a few changes from last season,” Tactically, where we can press and how we’re moving the ball around.

“But I think since I joined here, we’ve kept the same philosophy. Obviously, the gaffer knows what he wants – he’s proved that over many clubs now, and I think he’s just brought that into City, really.

“And over the last four seasons, we’ve been very good. I think last season, we just got beaten by a very good Liverpool team.”

Walker on Cancelo competition

Walker has struggled to get into Pep Guardiola’s side of late and a couple tactical changes has seen Joao Cancelo begin the supersede the England international.

The former Tottenham full-back Walker has admitted the amount of quality in the City team must be a nightmare for the coach to choose his team each week.

“Everyone who comes into the team does well and I bet it’s a headache for the manager to pick his starting XI each and every game,” he said.

“All I can do is make sure I’m doing the right things on the field when I’m on the field and put pressure on people who are in my position.”

With the tough run of fixtures incoming with Spurs, Everton and Arsenal their next three fixtures, Walker will likely be given further opportunities as Guardiola attempts to keep his squad fresh.
