Could Cowboys replace Kellen Moore with former Cardinals HC?

The Dallas Cowboys happen to be in the market for a new offensive coordinator after parting ways with Kellen Moore on Sunday, and former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury just happens to be unemployed.

In a recent column for The Athletic, Cowboys beat reporter Jon Machota floated the idea of Kingsbury landing in Dallas in 2023.

“The recently fired Arizona Cardinals head coach likely wouldn’t take the position unless he was going to call plays, but he’s arguably the biggest name available and there is a connection with (Cowboys head coach Mike) McCarthy,” Machota wrote. “Kingsbury, 43, was on the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad in 2004 when McCarthy was the team’s offensive coordinator. McCarthy has spoken multiple times over the past few years about how highly he thinks of Kingsbury.”
