Collective NFL Attention Suddenly Off Urban Meyer

The Jacksonville Jaguars were continuing to experience the firestorm from media members about the antics of head coach Urban Meyer.

There was no escape from the gauntlet because of the multiple video angles that came out on the Internet.

Meyer’s only option was to weather the storm was to admit his mistake since his actions are indefensible.

No matter how you look at the situation, it’s not a good image for a coach to abandon his team and have a good time, especially after a loss.

The conversation would be different if the Jaguars won in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Perhaps, anyone invested in the NFL wouldn’t bother to dig deeper because winning can compensate for any issue.

Instead, Meyer had to face barrage of questions about the incident and his commitment to the Jaguars.

But in a weird twist of fate, one head coach with a huge personality bumped off another from the court of public trial.

Jon Gruden Resigns

What’s weird is that Jon Gruden resigned due to emails found in an independent investigation on the Washington Football Team.

Yet regardless of the exchange happening a decade ago, the clock was ticking for Gruden when they came out.

There was no other option but to resign as Las Vegas Raiders head coach because his offense goes beyond the game.

The misogynistic and racist emails he sent to Washington general manager Bruce Allen were inexcusable and compromised his ability to lead an NFL franchise.
