Chelsea V Manchester City: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City dropped two crucial points versus Everton at the weekend, and it puts extra pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side heading into Thursday’s clash against Chelsea.

Their opponents are not in great form themselves, though, having drawn away at Nottingham Forest, so this could be a good time to go to Stamford Bridge.

City have two players sidelined with injury. Aymeric Laporte is a doubt due to a back problem, while Ruben Dias has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea:

Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Ake, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Haaland, Foden

Chelsea boss Graham Potter is without six players due to injury. Edouard Mendy (shoulder), Wesley Fofana (knee), N’Golo Kante (hamstring), Reece James (knee), Ben Chilwell (fitness) and Armando Broja (knee) are all out of contention.

Chelsea’s Predicted XI:

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Chalobah, Silva, Cucurella, Jorginho, Mount, Kovacic, Ziyech, Aubameyang, Pulisic

The bookmakers have made City the heavy favourites, with Betfair pricing them at 13/20 odds-on for the win. A draw is 16/5 with Bet 365 while a victory for Chelsea is 9/2 at William Hill.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to City
