Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud ‘willing to slash £135,000-per-week wages’ to secure Inter Milan move

Olivier Giroud is reportedly willing to take a significant wage cut to join Inter Milan this summer.

The striker’s contract at Chelsea is poised to expire at the end of June and Inter are amongst the clubs that have shown interest in him.

As reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport, Giroud is ready to take a significant hit on his current wages of £135,000-per-week.

If he does join Inter Giroud could earn around £110,000-per-week, which would be in line with the wages of some of the Italian club’s top earners.

Giroud has been used sparingly by Chelsea this season, scoring three goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Inter can already call upon Romelu Lukaku, but they are looking to bring in another striker, especially with uncertainty regarding the future of Lautaro Martinez.

Despite being 33 years old, Giroud is confident that he can still make a major impact next season. If he was to join Inter he would link up with several former Premier League players in Lukaku, Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young.
