Chelsea are considering reigniting their interest in Everton‘s Anthony Gordon.

The Blues made several attempts to sign the 21-year-old in the summer but the Merseyside club held out and managed to hold onto their man.

According to The Telegraph, however, Chelsea are ready to continue their big spend in January and are eyeing up a double swoop for both Gordon and Amadou Onana, as crisis continues at Everton amid the sacking of Frank Lampard.

Gordon clashed with fans after Everton’s 2-1 defeat against Southampton last weekend and is expected to leave the club before next week’s transfer deadline.

A move to Chelsea could result in Gordon heading back to Everton on loan for the rest of the season, but Newcastle are also keeping tabs on the winger.

Hakim Ziyech could head the other way, but the Blues are said to be well aware of Everton’s financial issues, and could pounce to land Onana, who only joined Everton in the summer, too.
