Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel wants to step up his meticulous approach at Stamford Bridge by installing eight pole-mounted cameras around their Cobham training complex.
The club have applied for planning permission to implement the technology that would help them put players under the microscope and analyse their progress and give immediate feedback.
The Blues currently top the Premier League table but Tuchel wants to ensure they go all the way and secure the title after already delivering a memorable Champions League triumph last season.

Papers filed to the Elmbridge Borough Council by planning agent Nancy Stuart, via the Sun, read: ‘The club is now seeking to enhance its facilities through installing cameras around several of the pitches, which will enable coaches to provide more thorough feedback.
‘Technology has been playing a bigger role in coaching in a wide range of sports in recent years
‘Installing cameras at Cobham will allow training sessions to be recorded from a range of angles and heights. It is considered that this solution is preferable to the use of drones.
‘The scheme will use leading camera and software technology to route back into the office for immediate analysis.’
The pole-mounted devices will allow Tuchel and his team to provide feedback in real time
A decision by Elmbridge Council – who require planning permission because Cobham is on green belt land – is expected to be made later this month.
Tuchel’s men have won five of their opening seven Premier League games this season, drawing one and losing one, and look strong after their £98million re-signing of Romelu Lukaku.
The Blues, who also brought in Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez, are looking to build on their Champions League success by bringing in more trophies under Tuchel but have suffered a minor blip in the last week after back-to-back 1-0 losses to Manchester City and Juventus.

They were ran close by Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as the visitors pegged them back 1-1 in the second half before strikes from Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell sealed a 3-1 win in the final minutes.
With the team appearing so strong but now showing slight frailties, it’s no wonder that Tuchel wants to take a closer look at his squad to help them improve.
The German boss will now have time to reflect on Chelsea’s recent performances as most of his squad depart to play for their countries in the international break. Their next game will be a trip to Brentford on October 16.
