Cesc Fabregas weighs-in on Chelsea’s squad – better than PSG
If your name is Cesc Fabregas you’re back Chelsea this season when it comes to having the best squad in Europe, according to the man himself.
The former Blues maestro took to Twitter earlier this evening and chimed in on a thread that included ESPN and AS statistician @2010MisterChip, who went on recording stating that PSG – even without Kylian Mbappé – has the best overalls squad in Europe.

Either through bias or genuine assessment, Fabregas was quick to pose Chelsea as the club that outstrips the Parisian giants.
Fabregas; backed by summer moves and recent success?
There are many that are likely to side with Fabregas in the wake of his opinion, but surely, Chelsea’s impressive summer business that continues to plow forward combined with the fact that they are the holding Champions League winners suggests that Fabregas could be backed by tangible proof rather than personal bias.
The missing piece for Chelsea was arguably having a recognized center-forward, which they solved by bringing in one of the best in Europe in Romelu Lukaku. They also are on track to complete a late deal for Jules Koundé, while a loan move for Saúl Ñiguez would round off a brilliant trio of deals that should put them in the driver’s seat for the main challenger to Manchester City’s Premier League crown while being in with a shout to retain their status as the top club on the continent.
But PSG is hardly slouching, and perhaps – if you have read this far – you have already screamed blasphemy in my general direction. Surely, any club (well, only the second club ever) to have Lionel Messi in its ranks is up there on the back of that alone, which you can double-down on when you add Neymar into the mix. However, Les Parisiens can also boast a massive summer recruitment drive that has ended in deals for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos, Achraf Hakimi, and Danilo Pereira.
If you were to ask me though? I think the answer is clear, and I’ll take my answer with a perfectly made croissant on the side as well.
The sheer depth of quality that PSG can call upon borders on the ridiculous, if not downright glutenous. So, I think we are simply going to have to put this one down to Fabregas thinking with his heart and not his head.
